Desk Top Probing, XYZ Probe Manipulators, PCB Fixture, Probe Stations
Probing Solutions, Inc., a Tektronix Channel Partner manufactures high quality affordable probe stations, precision manipulators and PCB fixtures to be used with the GigaProbes®, Pico Probes/Cascade probes or with any probe from Tektronix. Depending on your application, fixturing may be necessary as it allows the user secure the probe while freeing up the Engineer to operate the Oscilloscope controls and SI software without having to manually hold the probe in place. A desk top fixture for vertical and horizontal probing is available (see pictures below) and they can be used to build up a full probe station with optics and additional XYZ precision manipulators.

The 2020HV Signal Integrity probe station (shown above) from Probing Solutions, Inc. can be configured to probe Vertical and Horizontal printed circuit boards greater than 19x19”. The Vertical Fixture allow for probing fount and back side of backplanes to include probing daughter boards. This access provides the ability to characterize the backplane, via’s, connectors and daughter board interconnect path impedance and S-parameter bandwidth and create a SPICE Model using the DSA8200 TDR and IConnect. Active probes can be mounted on the GP series micro-positioners to perform functional SI on complete systems. Horizontal fixturing is also available
